Diandra Newlin is SOOO excited!  The Laurel Springs alumna/singer/dancer/pianist/model/LMU sophomore/athlete/actress recently premiered her new film Dreamkiller, reviewed by one imdb.com user as "Way better than [Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese's] Shutter Island".

A team of doctors experiment with a new, highly controversial form of psycho therapy (named F.R.I.T.) designed to cure chronic FEAR and PHOBIA patients. Soon someone begins to kill the patients one by one and investigation uncovers that the patients died in the exact way that they feared they would. Who or what brought their fears to life?

According to Diandra, the final film omits the original subplot in which her character Natalia is killed, combined with an offer to buy the copyright and do a sequel! Diandra Newlin: Dreamkiller 2

Calling her acceptance to Loyola Marymount University, where she is a science major, a "continuation of kindness from Laurel Springs", Diandra is feeling the thrill of learning new things daily and living fully.  She writes to us that she's grateful for her health, and that demeanor was evident at the film premier, according to LSS director Marilyn Mosley. In an interview for the L.A. Loyolan, Diandra talks about the film, and the balance between school and acting:

ER: So how was the premiere for “Dreamkiller” on Wednesday?

DN: Oh, the premiere was super awesome. I invited a lot of friends, and a lot of people came. One of my friends from LMU came; he was my bio lab partner from last semester.

This interview at the premier by MaximoTV shows Diandra's excitement and charm, gives insights to the film, and looks to her near future!
