Being a Laurel Springs student has been a huge asset for my tennis career. Thanks to the flexibility of the program and the reliability of the teachers, I have been able to take the time not only to achieve my goals in tennis, but also to gain knowledge and achieve my academic goals. I am very lucky to have found a program like Laurel Springs, and am very grateful for their care and concern for both my tennis career and my academics!

"Rae Porter Blackwell, LSS Senior, spent this week at UC Davis Freshman Orientation. She passed the departmental math placement exam which was a big hurdle. We are so happy that she has done well not only on the SATs but also on the departmental exams in English and math, ranking her in the top 2% of California students. Laurel Springs did immeasurably good things for Rae and she is so proud to be an LSS alumni. I have heard her talking to her new friends about the wonderful counselors and teachers that she had at Laurel Springs School.”
-Cherie Porter Blackwell (mother of Rae)
“The Learning Styles Profile gave us a much better understanding of our children, and for that we are extremely grateful. Customization allowed them to learn as they were designed to learn. Since we live in Japan, access to the LSS website and instant messaging with the teacher were extremely helpful. Barbara Cook's flexibility and caring was much appreciated. We were worried that Ian would never find the right learning environment, and in LSS he has. We think your school is a great step forward in the evolution of education.”

"Laurel Springs has allowed me the flexibility of travel as well as the ability to pursue further academic opportunities concurrently. I was able to refine my academic resume while studying in another country, thereby fulfilling the qualifications needed for the competitive university programs which I applied for. I have also been able to pursue and receive credit for my study of music as well, giving me a more well-rounded profile. I am very happy with my experience with Laurel Springs School, the teachers, and the staff who were so helpful throughout my time with them. Thanks to Laurel Springs, I have been able to achieve my goals academically and culturally, which would have otherwise not been possible had I attended a typical high school."

"I've enjoyed working with LSS since I was in the seventh grade. It allowed me to complete school faster than others, which I loved. It gave me time to volunteer, work, work out and travel! You LSS staff and students are amazing!”
-Micah Martinez—Henderson, Nevada
"When you fit your electives and your interests to your learning style with the help of education specialists, suddenly learning is what you do naturally. I am a hands-on, visual learner, and Laurel Springs offered ways to make me see how great that is, too."
-Oury T. Yarbrough—Austin, Texas
“I absolutely loved receiving my schooling through Laurel Springs. When I was attending public school, the teachers and assignments went at a slow speed, and that was not challenging. After I switched over to LSS, I was able to learn at my own pace and I, for once, felt like I was actually learning something. It’s a great feeling knowing you’ve accomplished something. Thank you, Laurel Springs!"
-Carissa Nichole Taylor—Ojai, California

-Erik Hannah—Bradenton, Florida

-Spencer John Aaron Anderson—Glen Ellyn, Illinois
“My boys have been homeschooled for their entire education. I was hesitant about turning over this control to a school when they began high school at Laurel Springs School. Much to my delight I did not give up control but found a wonderful, nurturing environment in the LSS teachers and staff who share our desire for the highest quality of education, character development and staff expression. You have maintained that intrinsic value of learning for knowledge's sake and not just for a grade.”
-Monica Stynchula (parent)—Tampa, Florida
“LSS gave me the flexibility to do school at my own pace without the hassles of timeline and teacher control. It was the best for me and people like me.”
-Kellen Michael Damico Parker—Colorado
“It was awesome being able to work at my own pace. I needed to be able to work around my motocross schedule and Laurel Springs program provided me with the flexibility I needed.”
-Heath Ray Hamblen—Woodinville, Washington
“I really enjoyed my time at Laurel Springs. I feel it helped me grow academically and mentally. Laurel Springs offered me many choices in my life, and I am very grateful for them all. I will always look back at my time in Laurel Springs and think fondly of all the memories I have.”
-Lisa Petras—Fox Lake, Illinois
“Laurel Springs allowed me to travel a lot due to sports while also excelling in my academics. Because of Laurel Springs, I have also earned 18 college credits. I never would have been able to achieve all of this in public school.”
