Personalized Teacher Service for Every Student

Students have access to their own teacher who offers a personalized, individualized course of study. Laurel Springs’ teachers are fully qualified, experienced professionals, many of whom possess an advanced degree and learning style training. Elementary school students often work with one teacher for all core subjects. High school students have the support of a different teacher for each subject and a homeroom teacher who will guide and support them through their high school years.

Our teachers grade each lesson with care. They make comments that address each student’s areas of strength and challenge with expertise and compassion. Grades, comments and student progress can be viewed online by the student and parents at our easy-to-access, easy-to-use interactive grade book.

Our program is mastery-based, meaning that our teachers can adjust the content or pace of lessons to suit the needs of each student, and give them the opportunity to earn a better grade if desired.

Keeping in Touch and Providing Support

Teachers keep in touch, responding to student and parent questions through our interactive gradebook, email, fax, mail or phone. Teachers support students in personalizing curriculum, advising academic strategies and setting up guidelines for communication. They keep in contact with the
student’s other teachers to strengthen the support for learning and strategies for student success. 

Online Office Hours

Academic departmental office hours are available so that students can receive live help in their coursework from a Laurel Springs teacher. Live, online classes are scheduled throughout the year in various subjects in order to enrich student learning in a group setting, Participation in such virtual meetings allow students to communicate and connect by using 21st century skills.
