LSS at the Young Artist Awards
What a party this year for Maureen Dragone, YAA President, and Founder of the Young Artist Awards! Thirty years of honoring young people for their artistic work in films, sitcoms, commercials, and guest and musical appearances, is quite an accomplishment. We were there again this year, presenting our “Student Achievement Awards” to deserving young actors. This year’s recipients were, Brandi Young, winner of the $2,000 LSS Award for her video, along with Dylan Custard and Patrick Casa, each receiving $1,000 for their essays.
We were delighted to grant these awards to our deserving students, who work hard in the industry, yet need our help to achieve their goals. These awards are tangible recompense for the exceptional dreams these kids nurture, of becoming successful artists; and we’re delighted to recognize them for their efforts.
Laurel Springs School is affectionately called, “The School for the Stars,” because of our pool of famous students and alumni, yet our program works for all students. We believe all children are “stars” in their own right!
Laurel Springs School gives out Student Achievement Awards every year to Actors, Dancers, Musicians, Athletes, the Gifted and Talented, and many families who have special needs. We do our best to reward the kids who try really hard to build purposeful lives.
